Why do you write this blog?
There are two answers to this question: (1) I love food, and (2) I have a pretty bad memory. If I make something I like, I want to remember that I made it, and how, and this is one of the easiest ways for me to keep track.

Why don't you make [food restriction] food?
My husband and I don't have any dietary restrictions. We don't have any allergies, we aren't gluten-free or soy-free or dairy-free or locovore or vegan or vegetarian or kosher or halal or anything like that. I'm somewhat lactose intolerant, but taking Lactaid with meals works for me with most relevant foods, so it doesn't really dictate our meal choices. Beyond that, neither of us likes tomatoes or oysters, and I don't like my spicy food too spicy.

Can I recommend a recipe I'd like you to try?
Absolutely!!! Food is love, and sharing is caring. If your recommendation includes ingredients we don't like, ingredients we can't afford or find, methods we can't perform due to equipment restraints (for example, we don't have a grill), we probably won't try it out. But I love when people tell me about food they make and love.
